I love having my own business. I get to be own boss, make my own hours, work in my pj’s if I want to and not to mention the commute to my spa room is all of about…30 feet. My biggest challenge in all of it is my innate ability to procrastinate. Much more so than when I was in a traditional 9 to 5. If something is difficult, I’ll make up a hundred excuses or find a million distractions so that I don’t have to deal with whatever “it” is. Eventually, I get around and do what I need to do but with much time wasted. Recently, I read a quote courtesy of the blog, Classy & Fabulous, and thought it was worth sharing:
When it comes to the “business” of having my own business, I struggle. This quote gave me the push I needed to get on top of the mound of orders and paperwork on my desk (ugh) and to not be so intimidated with the layout of my new website (bigger ugh). When all is said and done – it’s SO WORTH doing what I do and getting to work with all of you! Here’s hoping it will inspire you to tackle whatever “IT” is and reach your goals!
Warmly,
Shana
I love this Shana! And it is so true. I wouldnt trade working for myself and at home, as I sit her in my pj’s with my tea typing this 🙂 but it does take discipline and determination and the rewards will go so far beyond what your regular 9 to 5 can give you. Much success to you !
